Skip fly bucktails at the base of Lookout Island,
what a way to spend the last tide of 2024!
As this was our last season in Kyuquot (we started in 1993) it was a heartfelt pack up at the end of August.
Ava was off to University of Victoria leaving Isabel and me to pack up the last of our 30 years of memories.
Izzy and I packed for 5 days straight…. What a job!
We took a break and went fishing …

Izzy , who was prone to seasickness, has had very little experience compared to her younger sister.
But by the 5th coho (released) on the skip fly Izzy was having a ball, as was I. End of August, whales breaching, short sleeve weather, sun shining and not another boat in sight. It doesn’t get any better.
With the KBH sold, 2025 will bring lots of new adventures. I have a couple of Lodge/Guiding opportunities is the works. I’ll let you know when my plans are more firmed up. Call me for an update.

Silver fish safely in the boat
